Ask for Alonzo Celebrates Italian Coastal Traditions with Festa di Mare
September brings the taste of Italian coastal celebrations to Hong Kong with Ask for Alonzo's Festa di Mare, running from 1 September to 31 October 2025 across all five locations. This limited-time celebration embraces Italy's deep connection to the sea, where coastal communities have long honoured the ocean's bounty through traditional festivals that bring families and friends together around exceptional seafood.
The promotion introduces three carefully crafted dishes that showcase Italian techniques applied to premium seafood, creating the perfect marriage of Mediterranean tradition and Hong Kong's love for fresh ocean flavours. Each dish represents a different aspect of Italian coastal cooking, from elegant carpaccio preparations to hearty risotto and crispy small plates.
Italian Coastal Flavours Come to Hong Kong
The Octopus Carpaccio leads the celebration, featuring tender octopus paired with sun-dried tomatoes, zesty honey dressing, lobster mayo, and crushed pistachios. This dish captures the essence of Italian coastal dining, where simple ingredients are elevated through careful technique and thoughtful flavour combinations that let the seafood shine.
The Lobster Risotto represents the comfort side of Italian coastal cooking, made with Arborio rice, bell pepper, butter, and fresh basil. This rich, warming dish embodies the Italian philosophy of turning premium ingredients into soul-satisfying meals that bring people together around the table.
Crispy Prawn Croquettes complete the trio, served with house-made Italian mayo for a perfectly crunchy texture that gives way to succulent prawns inside. These bite-sized delights showcase how Italian coastal cuisine transforms simple seafood into memorable sharing plates perfect for Hong Kong's social dining culture.
All three dishes are available throughout the day at every Ask for Alonzo location, ensuring this celebration of Italian coastal traditions remains accessible whether you're enjoying a business lunch in Quarry Bay or a weekend gathering in SoHo.

About Deadly Rabbits Concepts
Founded in 2019, Deadly Rabbits Concepts has established itself as an innovative dining group renowned for creativity in the Hong Kong restaurant scene, offering top-notch yet wallet-friendly modern European cuisines.
The group draws its inspiration from the whimsical world of Monty Python, paired with the delightfully absurd sense of humour of Poland, the homeland of founder Bart Szyniec. His belief that the F&B industry should embody fun and light-heartedness remains expressed through the group's playful logo and unique name.
Deadly Rabbits Concepts has become known for its resilience, having navigated the city's challenges during its initial years, including the pandemic. Despite these difficulties, the group has adapted to new norms whilst thriving in Hong Kong's rapidly changing dining scene.
This creative hospitality group is the driving force behind several beloved neighbourhood dining venues, including the modern Italian restaurant Ask for Alonzo at five locations: Wan Chai, Quarry Bay, Tai Hang, Happy Valley, and Soho. In 2024, Deadly Rabbits Concepts introduced two new culinary concepts: À Poêle French Bistro in Quarry Bay and Qué Pasa Spanish Tapas Y Vino in Tai Hang.
